Incorporate Life Lessons Into Your Daily Team Meetings

A daily team meeting is when the head coach is communicating an agenda, and at the start of the season in the first meeting usually the coach discusses expectations, on what he expects from the athletes (to do your best). Also in the meeting the coach may share quotes, thoughts, personal issues, give piece of advice, tell an inspiring story or a life lesson.

Topics cover in meetings:
  • Always communicate with your coach if can't make practice.
  • Distractions.
  • Start today and make things better.
  • Spend time with friends that make you a better person.
  • Don't spend time with negative people.
  • Face your problems head on.
  • Be honest, and be kind.
  • Appreciate from those who give from their heart.
  • Making mistakes and correct your mistakes.

Life Lesson:  Do you know what separates the winners from the losers? is getting back on the horse after getting kicked in the teeth.

Your goal as an athlete is to work hard and develop a CHAMPIONSHIP LIFESTYLE.
  • Strive to achieve your lifetime best performance.
  • Have a race plan.
  • Think PR (personal record) and go as hard as you can without giving up.
  • If you lose you have to return with poise and composure.
  • When you compete you have to come out and feel ready to go.
  • Decide to give your all and go for it.
  • Perform your best - all the time, every time.
  • Show character each day, each week, each month and throughout the year.
  • For every excuse(s) you make, it starts with your distractions.
  • Don't be caught up in making wrong decisions.
  • You need to be focus.
  • Be strong and courageous, and do the work.
